Price gouging vultures, what they do is raise the price by heaps and then put it on special to try trick customers whilst raking in massive profits during a cost of living crisis. I do my best to avoid.
I would recommend walking a few extra blocks and use Aldi instead and not support their greed.

It’s your standard Coles. Some things aren’t always in stock, at least they have numerous self service checkouts, and it’s pretty quiet on the weekends.

The speaker at the entrance to the self service that blasts a welcome message as you walk past actually caused a flare up of my tinnitus ear condition.

It would be nice to not be assaulted in the ear while I collect my weekly shop.
    Otherwise, the store is okay.

I used a self checkout register and it froze when I changed payment method, the staff watching checkouts told me to wait for it to fix itself, and I waited & waited & then the service manager told me keep waiting. Eventually they got the store manager to restart the register and I then I had to go pay at the service counter. It took about 15 minutes of waiting at the faulty checkout. None of the 3 staff who were involved including the store manager apologised to me for the long delay and inconvenience. The opposite of good customer service and a horrible shopping trip.

I am here with my friend, he is shopping some cheap food for his lunch.

Have you ever dreamed of travelling to different places with your loved ones?
Ofcourse we all do, who wouldn’t want to seek adventure? Explore new places, try out different cuisines but ofcourse it’s more worth it when you’re with your love ones, making memories worth keeping making them happy right? Ticking each one on your bucket list, be it in the forest, ocean, or wherever you plan or what to do because family is everything to us. All we ever wanted is a good future for them. As what JM Laurence once said, “It’s not what we have in life, but who we have in our life that matters.”

OCT 2022 ✅ Probably one of the most price-friendly ? and convenient Coles supermarket around Swanston and La Trobe Street ??

I might have been baited by all the alluring sales ? and overspent a little ? but that’s alright.. happy to be supporting local businesses and besides, they really help stretch my dollar and I hope yours too ???

Smaller footprint and range than suburban locations, but large enough to stock most items. Checkout was fast enough though the store was quite packed. Some lunch options for office workers

Smaller, express-style store that caters mainly to people from nearby office towers or those on their way to and from the train station. Still, it carries a large range of products, has plenty of self-serve checkouts and while it can be crowded you’re usually in and out quickly. Not the place for a weekly shop but ideal to get something for lunch / dinner.

Smaller size store but still has most of the go to items I’ve picked up in other locations, including with a decent selection of fresh fruits & veggies. Right by the train and off the main street to easily get to.

However, they’ve been closing earlier the last few weeks and didn’t bother updating their hours here (they even went as far as to confirm the incorrect ones) and today, they even closed the entry gates 30 minutes before that at 8:30. Whatever time works for their staff is what they should go with of course but that just needs to be better communicated.

Busy, but has all you need. Great if you need to shop before heading home from work. Having the train line in the vicinity makes it a smooth transition.

  1. Good shop, has everything you need and more quick service. Would have given it a 5, but they keep closing the bottle store area for some reason. Must cost them money seeing people walk up the road to buy there beers etc.

  2. This store is of a decent size and is open till around midnight and also close to the Flinders Street Station. You can also grab a fresh salad for lunch from here if you work nearby. They have pasta, pumpkin, potato, tabbouleh, couscous and other such salad options in different box sizes.

  3. Have been here several times now and while it’s not as large as the suburban Coles outlets, the store has what I’ve needed and as well as always being clean and well lit, the staff has always offered friendly service. Of course, being directly opposite Flinders Street Railway Station at Elizabeth Street, it’s in a very convenient location.

  4. The store is very convenient and I visit it frequently. Although it is a little congested, especially when you walk past the health foods aisle which is mostly pre-occupied with cages and pallets.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful, especially the customer service staffs, Manisha and Richard. They are always very respectful and willing to help.

  5. The place has very limited items available, and even to have an availability for milk is on the low side. This also includes limitations to fresh vegetables or fruits.
