a month agoAfter I paid the $220 deposit, I canceled the order within 5 minutes, but the front desk said it would take 3-5 days before the deposit could be refunded. I don’t quite understand that they deduct money very quickly but refund very slowly. Can’t they refund the money immediately when canceling the order? The bank has not completed the transaction process at this time. Four days have passed and as of today I have not received a refund.3 months agoPicked up car as ordered. Car was ready but had an issue with inactive touch screen. Staff replaced car with similar one and all was well from then. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Returning car 5 days later uneventful. Again very pleasant staff.2 weeks agoRecently I was unsure about using insurance to fix a dent on my car. The repair shop reminded me “free” car rental came as part of the service. But I had to present my credit card for a bond (I assumed just pre-approval, not withdrawing from my account). I got the car on Wednesday and returned on Monday, and the $220 showed as “pending” all that time, so no problem, I thought. After returning the car, I noticed the amount was gone, and 48 hrs later I’m waiting for its return. This is such a big corporation, technically legal, scam, it has put me off both Budget and the RAC.6 months agoOur vehicle a large 4 WD was booked into the panel Beaters for repairs on the 24th July 2023, this booking was made with the insurance company on the 29th March 23. A Budget Hire car ( like for like )via the insurance Co was booked on the same date. When we picked up the Budget vehicle it was a small SUV and the interior cleanness was poor. We questioned the like for like vehicles policy and we were told we need to book in advance. We highlighted that we did book back in March 23, over 3 months prior. Just disappointing that you pay large insurance premiums and in the event you are required to call on using the benefits of your policy you are let down by a service provider, in this case Budget. Yes we got a car, yes it did it’s job however Budget do no pay our insurance premiums and the fact we got a vehicle that wasn’t clean was very disappointingin the last weekCar was waiting on arrival with a busy office I was greeted with a smiling efficient staff member on checkin and checkout. Thankyou great service. Kia car was good too.
