This review isn’t so much about the store itself, but about my interaction with one of the staff members. Hubby and I are renovating our kitchen and we were looked after by Laura (in store). The sweetest, most knowledgeable person we’ve come across. She went above and beyond in explaining certain materials, the pros and cons and made us feel so much more confident going forward with certain design decisions.
We had our kaboodle consult the next day and it went extremely well, thanks to Laura’s advice and knowledge. She’s ahead of her time and is now my go-to person.

This is a review about an interaction between my mother, myself and a staff member from the paints department Michelle. We went there 31st August and just wanted to purchase some paint. Michelle approached the paints desk with such a terrible look on her face like she was being forced to work there. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it just gets worse. I told her what we were after and she said we need to purchase primer as well. I said oh no my dad said he didn’t need any primer. Well she got so defensive and said ‘Well my 10 years working in this department means nothing’. Then she pushed past me. We couldn’t believe it. Even then I tried to call out and and explain that we just didn’t want it, this had nothing to do with insulting her knowledge, but she just kept walking away.
I then went and spoke to Debbie one of the managers and she was very helpful and then asked Luke to help us with our order. He didn’t care that we didn’t want primer, he was great.
Debbie asked me to email her the details of this incident which I did the next day, but I never heard back.
I do hope Michelle received some kind of coaching about this incident, it was so unnecessary, and to push into me was really over the top.

I visited my local Bunnings store to replace a broken wood piece holding up part of my King size bed. There I was referred to Mr Tom, a mature gentleman which went above & beyond to assist with my request. To the point where he took the original piece of wood home to restore & make a new replacement as well. He told me to pick up the next day & that he would leave it at the counter as he finishes work by a certain time. I’m so grateful to have met generosity, kindness and a genuine employee in Mr Tom, I’m sure I will see him again very soon to thank him in person.

The bunnings at greenarce is a local store that I used to go with my dad to find the lawn mover that we use for gardening at home. We went to the DIY workshop to do the Easter eggs activities that i did independently with the glue stick together onto the pieces of the egg activity. Nice sunny day to look at the garden flowers of cameilla that I like in my garden one day. Not far away from my house to bunnings. Reconsider going there again to do some more activity.

The staff is not helpful at all. The lady watering the plants was so rude and was clearly a racist person. At the checkout, I was struggling to lift some heavy things and 2 girls were just standing there and not offering to help or anything. I felt like people from the central coast do not accept other communities. They don’t seem like true Australians, Australia is a multicultural country. Everyone should be treated with respect as we are all humans. I was really disappointed yesterday and I’m never going to go back to the lake Haven Bunnings again.

Very nice stock levels..however when myself and brother went to purchase items at register my brother was asked to look in his bag . My Brother said no problem ..when he showed the inside of his bag there was an Empty monster drink can i had given him as there were no bins. I had bought drink at cafe in store …and explained to cashier ..than she continued as my brother had a water bottle ( coles brand water ) unopened ..a male staff had left his posting at door to come over to us as well. I asked would they like to see my proof of purchase ..he said no i walked out humiliated in front of waiting customers . My brother was left being quiestioned further about the drinks …not nessary when the person at the door checks bag ..we were asked before i even finished tapping to pay ..never going here again

I have been to many bunnings over the years, and for the first time ever we had an older gentleman in the tool section spend time with us to give us experienced advice. We were very grateful. Bunnings need to hire more people like this, instead of those who run away from customers.
Huge bunnings with lots of variety, a great parking area, and plenty to choose from.
Majority of the staff are lovely, but there was a young staff member looking at his phone and when we asked where something was, he kept looking at his phone and mumbled as to where he thought it was. The item was not there and we had to get help from another staff member.

I didn’t know how to set them and I was very nervous about that.
The lady at the pay counter on 17/3/23 night took extra time to set them for me.

Today, we received the best customer service that we have ever had at any bunnings store! I don’t even know what department Jen works in, because she helped us with everything! We are doing a renovation of our business premises. Jen went out of her way to answer our many questions and follow-up with other stores to see if there were any returned custom kitchens that would suit our needs. Jen also searched on all the shelves, in a few different departments, as well as out the back. We left with more knowledge, ideas and all the correct brochures to help plan for our project. Excellent customer service. The returns process was really simple – I had bought an item that it turns out didn’t fit (I should have measured beforehand), and was able to return it easily with no fuss. They have a wide range of products and even had a particularly niche item I needed. Great range of tools for any job you might need. The prices are unbeatable. They also do key cutting at a much more reasonable price than other dedicated stores. And you can recycle old batteries here for free.

I take my hat off to all the Bunnings staff. During busy periods, they handle multiple customer inquires on the floor. Must be very tiring, yet they manage to keep a cool head. I am not normally one to endorse a company that cleans out the competition and dictates prices, however, they are successful on many levels based on their company structure. At least they are not an overseas conglomerate, so hopefully the money is staying in the Aussie economy. I would need to look into that.. anyway, hooray to customer training and ground level service!

Yesterday evening at 6-7 pm, I had a wonderful experience at Broadway Kmart. While I was with my 4-year-old son, I asked the young woman folding clothes in the children’s apparel aisle to help me find a tablecloth. She led the way with wonderful customer service. If my memory serves me well, She had olive skin, blondish brown hair, some makeup and false eyelashes. I was very pleased with the helpful and kind service she offered. I’m very thankful to have had such an enjoyable experience. ?

Extremely Disappointed with Broadway Kmart’s Incompetence and Rude Customer Service
I recently had an absolutely terrible experience with Kmart and I am beyond furious. I placed a click and collect order with them, only to have it abruptly canceled because they claimed there was no stock available. To make matters worse, their online system still displayed low stock for the item I wanted. So, I decided to call the store to confirm the availability.
Upon speaking to a lady, she checked the code and informed me that there were only a few items left, and told me that it might not be worth my time coming to the store if they had none. However, I asked her to physically check the stock, and what did she do? She had the audacity to ask me to call back in five minutes and then hung up on me! Talk about rude and unprofessional behavior.
Feeling frustrated, I patiently waited and called back, only to be greeted by another lady who I suspect was the same person I spoke to earlier. Trying to confirm, I innocently mentioned that I was asking about the same t-shirt I had called about before. Instead of providing assistance, she responded in a condescending tone, exclaiming, “No, it’s obviously not the same person.” How disrespectful can they be?
Despite her dismissive attitude, I reiterate my request to check the stock availability. To my astonishment, she once again claimed that they definitely didn’t have the item in stock, without even bothering to physically verify. This contradicted what the previous lady had mentioned, who had given me a glimmer of hope. I implored her to physically check, but she outright refused, stating that they hadn’t sold any in a month.
Driven to my limits by their horrendous customer service, I reluctantly ended the call. However, later in the evening, I decided to visit the store myself. And guess what? Within a mere 10 minutes of browsing, I stumbled upon not one, but several of the exact product I was looking for. How can they be so utterly incompetent, dishonest and lazy?
I am utterly disgusted by Kmart’s sheer lack of professionalism, their rude and unhelpful customer service, and their blatant inconsistency regarding stock availability. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied and I will think twice before ever considering shopping at Kmart again. If they can’t even get the basics right, it’s clear that they do not value their customers or their business reputation.
Consider this review a warning to all potential shoppers: beware of Kmart’s incompetence and disrespectful treatment. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by taking your business elsewhere. Kmart Broadway has truly lost a loyal customer in me.

Hi Kmart, could you please explain why the deliberate mismanagement of your store design (central checkouts, understaffed, long lines, poor store layout) should result in customers having to line up when leaving the store to have their receipt scanned?
This indicates a severe lack of foresight in your store security planning, that you are then placing the time cost of on to your customers – not to mention after lining up to pay at a self service checkout, dutifully scanning and bagging our items ourselves we are being treated like criminals as we go to leave when we have done everything correctly…Doesn’t exactly budget customer goodwill, does it?
Question: If someone had to leave the store quickly for an emergency, what would be the consequences be to them of not having their receipt scanned?

I know this isn’t the right department but please stop using Aus Post to deliver parcels. They are useless. This make me not want to purchase things from Kmart even though the price is good but I rather give my money to Amazon for the same item but more expensive as I can get it same day with no problems.

Have tried to call multiple times over the past couple of days to follow up on a click and collect order. No one answers the phone at this store at all. Line will keep ringing out for 10+ mins.
Travelled to the store to find out what’s going on with my order. The service here is absolutely horrendous. Waiting in a long line for 20+ mins at the service counter, only 1 person staffed at the time.
Finally got to the counter and was advised my order is not ready for pick up. It was ordered online several days ago…. Was told it would be ready by 4pm. It’s now past 4pm and there is still no update and no one answering the phone line again!
This has to be the worst managed Kmart I have ever been too. Complete incompetent management and staffing issues.
Can’t believe in this day and age for a huge company like Kmart, they can’t even have someone answer the phone.
Will process a refund on my end and purchase elsewhere.

Not a very customer centric store. Made an online order to get it picked up for the same day, but notification did not come until after 4pm, even though they had guaranteed that it will ready to pick up on the same day by 4pm.
Went to the store the next day to pick up the order and when I got home, the clothes were of different sizing and style.
One article of clothing was a size 20, when I ordered a size 6.
The other clothing was a different style altogether, and another article of clothing was not even in the bag, and there was no notice advising that it was out of stock or refund.
Tried to call the Customer Service line at Bankstown and I had to wait for 30mins of continous ringing with no answer.
Hung up and went back to the store and the Indian Customer service lady made it like it’s my fault I hadn’t checked the order properly. Maybe if they had given me what I had ordered there will be no need for me to go back and waste my time there.
Avoid this store and go elsewhere, maybe Roselands. The employees here looked as if they are over their jobs and just plain bored. The younger ones pretend they are working but just browsing their Facebook, the older ones are in the end life cycle of their career..so either way No Help at all.

I want to highlight the efforts of the service desk staff in the Erina Fair store, they are always helpful, friendly and cheerful, they are the best staff I have ever seen in a department store, special mention to Sharyn and Karen. Had a terrible experience today with the lady at the front of Kmart who checks the receipts on your way out she has short hair and wears glasses there was a lady in front of me that she just let walk out without checking her receipt and another lady who walked out and just quickly flashed her receipt while walking out and didn’t bother checking her receipt properly than I go to walk out and she fully checks my receipt which I found very unprofessional I told her why didn’t she check the peoples receipts that went before me but you want to fully look at mine she didn’t have much to say I also said next time make sure you check everyone’s receipts properly she came back at me and said I was to busy on my phone which I replied even though I was on the phone I was still aware of what was happening in front of me.!! Very unprofessional
