      Stopped by this bakery on our way through Coffs Harbour on our drive back to Brisbane.Ordered a plain beef pie, pork and fennel sausage roll and an iced lemon donut. The beef pie was disappointing, expected a plain minced pie and got a carrot and onion pie with bits of mince. Very heavy on spices, could taste thyme and pepper. I would not recommend it. The pork and fennel sausage roll was quite flavourful and a nice change from the traditional beef sausage roll. The lemon donut was fluffy and had thick and creamy vanilla custard inside, but was lacking in lemon flavour. Perhaps needed more lemon in the icing. Perhaps their sweets are better than the savory options.

      Both the Thai green curry and vegetable pie were flavourful and filling, like something you would expect from a country kitchen, not your standard, greasy, roadside gas station grey minced mess. The sourdough was dense and filling with a firm crust and a pleasent tartness, the loaf is a generous size. They also have a lovely selection of deli goods, with a particularly good price on Meredith goats cheese IYKYK.

      Not the most aesthetically pleasing cafe I suppose? But the baked goods they have are decent! I’ve tried the chocolate croissant and some of the petit fours which were all very good! The staff are nice

      The danish was so big, delicious and cheap! I highly recommend! I also thoroughly enjoyed the baguette and would definitely come back to try more pastries!

      These guys do quality food. The egg and bacon rolls are made right in front of you. I also had a spinnich and ricotta roll , it tasted like home made and was delicious. Atmosphere is fairly laid back. We had to wait , but it was worth it. Prices are pretty reasonable.

      Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. Excellent service. Large and tasty pies. Walked in wondering if they had neenish tarts, they certainly did and they were huge and tasty. Grabbed a table out the front and enjoyed our late lunch.

      A popular bakery store located about a block away from the post office. Friendly staff. Bakery items, drinks and freshly-made sandwiches are made here. Staff are fast and efficient. The store could do with a deep clean. Parking is located out the front.

      We had a delicious & fresh chicken panini, tasty sausage roll, & lovely coffee & milkshake. Great service. Awesome design with a lovely warm welcoming gas log fireplace. Toilets could have been cleaner. Highly recommend.

      Very disappointing experience. Customer service is non-existent. When i walked in, the first challenge was finding a clean table…. The majority of the tables were covered in dirty dishes from previous customers. No table service….. even for a coffee, you get a buzzer. Staff not engaged and looked as keen to get out of there as I was. Pitty as it’s a lovely venue and has so much potential.

      I was there for over a hour and not once did any member of staff bother to come and clean up any of the putrid tables. Beyond poor.

      There are sooo many better cafe options in Orange, so give this one a miss.

      I had travelled from Coonamble, the big breakfast was wonderful but I have to mention Joe who served me. His attention to detail was wonderful & as I sat there eating, he mopped the floor after each customer left to remove crumbs etc. The Bakery was spotless & he kept it that way. He got one of the staff to turn on the A/C about 11.15am as it was getting warm. I just had to write this review to acknowledge the wonderful employee that he is.. (I am not related either) Laugh out loud.

      This morning, I visited PK’s Bakery with the intention of enjoying a long black coffee. Unfortunately, my experience was unsatisfactory. The barista failed to load fresh coffee into the portafilter, and when I requested cold water for my coffee, he used water from a previously used bottle in the fridge, which was quite disappointing.

      After one year living in Port Mac, we finally found our go-to bakery! We had the chocolate gateau and it was amazing, best thing is it was gluten free. The French baguette has got a lovely bit to it, flavoursome. Seeing the empty shelf end of the day every time is simply the proof it’s an awesome bakery. Thanks to the friendly staff and baker Brandon.

      Have been wanting to visit for ages and despite being late into the day it was worth it! The focaccia sandwiches were gorgeous, one of the best focaccias I’ve had, with plenty of simple, delicious filling. The cakes were lovely, travelled well back to Sydney! Will have to visit earlier to sample the full range. Lovely, friendly staff who were very attentive. Worth the wait! And the trip!

      Ordered a Raspberry Birthday cake. Looked at the reviews before hand and thought for $75 this cake must be awesome. In short it was not. Dense and seemed like it was frozen in parts. Inconsistent in density around the cake. Also spelled the name wrong on the cake, that was more a nice laughing point for us. The young man who served me was polite. The issues were only noticed upon opening at home.

      More concerned on the very inconsistent dense cake that appeared to be frozen in part and no way tasted like it was freshly made. I won’t be going back.

      The sweetest place to visit, full of sweet people and even sweeter delicacies. I had the brownie cookie with peanut butter filling … wow! I almost died. It was incredible.       This was a great little discovery hidden down Globe Lane… felt like stepping into a genuine European bake house! There’s always a very tempting array of amazing cakes… my personal fave is the decadent Espresso Butter, Almond Chocolate Roulade!??

      These cakes are all bought by weight… so you choose just how big a slice you really want!?

      If you’re there while they’re actually making a Kurtosh, the smell of baking is so amazing that you’ll be ordering one for yourself… just be patient as it takes around 10-12 minutes!

      FYI… a Kurtosh is a traditional Hungarian bready pastry known as Chimney Cake. Boasting the perfect harmony of caramelised crispy flaky outer with soft inner walls, usually rolled in cinnamon sugar, nuts etc. The cylindrical yeast pastry is often sold as street snacks from carts all over Hungary.

      So… seek them out and enjoy the tasty treats!?

      Loved the vibe inside. The cakes are amazing. Lovely coffee. Only thing that annoyed me was one of the staff members seemed like he didn’t want to be there and didn’t ask us if we wanted takeaway or mugs or what size. Also seemed understaffed as there were heaps of mugs and plates on each table and we had to remove it ourselves. Besides that I had a wonderful time there and I’d definitely go back.       I had a lovely first experience with Cakes by Kyla. I ordered a simple gift box but they looked amazing! And all the guests said they looked and tasted great!

      I also had a bit of a personal blunder with my order. Thankfully, Kyla was understanding and did everything she could to help me with my mistake. Everything turned out great in the end.

      Kyla was professional, friendly and understanding.

      I will definitely try some more cakes by Kyla in the future.

      The quality of the cupcakes and the taste are superb! No matter the occasion (xmas, birthdays, etc.), you’ll always receive beautiful cupcakes that taste amazing. Highly recommended the Lemon Meringue cupcakes, yum!

      Ordered 12 mixed cupcakes (very last minute) as a gift and they went down a treat everyone commented in how beautiful they looked and tasted. Beautiful flavours and wonderful service. They were sitting waiting on me to collect at my collection time.
