      Nice pretty and diverse walk , just the right length for a child about one hour each way with the big reward reaching the Karloo pool for a nice swim and picnic. You can sit in the waterfall for a natural “spa”. The walk is rated as hard because the path is uneven with steep climbs and descents over rocky uneven terrain. It is not very challenging but can be very slippery in wet weather.

      Easy to park near by, big sign on the beginning of the trail with info – distance, etc., medium level difficulty, make sure to wear appropriate shoes and take water. The pool looks great, perfect for a swim on a warm summer day (as it was a warm winter day we didn’t go in ?).

      A great hike. Not busy on a weekday but packed on the weekends. It’s a good track on the way to the pools and on to the falls, slightly challenging for a beginner with good views and wildlife. The pools and waterfall are great break spots. The hike out from the falls is on fire trail and isn’t remarkable but it’s easy and quick. Plan on spending 3 hours doing the full 12K including breaks.

      Medium decent walk track, to Karloo Pool. Worth the effort once you reach the pool for a dip. After that a return trip back up the same route.

      You enter in the park either via Lady Game Drive of Delhi Rd. It’s a lovely place to visit for most occasions. Plenty of walking tracks, BBQ places and seating. There’s a Cafe there too if you just want a coffee.

      I really recommend this park for people who like birds. We saw close ups of kookaburra, bush turkey, cockatoo, rainbow lorikeet and noisy myna. The river looks good for kayaking. There was dozens of picnic spaces and some interesting walks.

      I would recommend anyone, who is visiting Sydney,must check this place. It’s free to enter and you can enter into the treasure of Australian culture and heritage. They arrange exhibitions time to time, which you might have to book online. Kids zone is fantastic. If you have a kid, they will love it. Moreover, there is little food places inside the museum in two floors- selling coffee and limited food items like cupcakes, sandwiches.They have a gift shop at the entrance, where you can buy souvenirs for yourself or for your loved ones.

      It was a wonderful experience. We went for the Rameses Egypt exhibition and everything was amazing. The artifacts, information and pictures were all very nice. The museum in general, was so massive that we did not get to see everything in one day. Therefore we’ll definitely come here again.

      Very informative museum. A bit disappointed on the dinosaur exhibit as the place was too dark to even read some of the info. I had to brighten the phone settings.       Pros: We were fascinated and delighted at the way it was set out.

      The staff were so helpful and friendly and smiling. Quite rare to see nowadays and it made the whole experience even better.

      The videos, the educational aspects, the layouts and the artifacts themselves were absolutely fascinating and perfectly done.

      VR Experience: AMAZING it is well worth the extra dollars to go and experience this.

      We had looked forward to this for quite a while, but we’re a bit skeptical about how it was going to be set out.

      We were definitely impressed!

      The gift shop had some beautiful items in it too. Make sure you take some extra cash so that you can buy something to take home to remind you of this great experience

      Getting there: We parked out on the street but it would probably be advisable to get there via public transport as parking could be difficult. Trains and buses are very close to the venue.

      The museum itself is such a beautiful place. We can’t wait to go back there to see another exhibition.

      I would recommend anyone, who is visiting Sydney,must check this place. It’s free to enter and you can enter into the treasure of Australian culture and heritage. They arrange exhibitions time to time, which you might have to book online. Kids zone is fantastic. If you have a kid, they will love it. Moreover, there is little food places inside the museum in two floors- selling coffee and limited food items like cupcakes, sandwiches.They have a gift shop at the entrance, where you can buy souvenirs for yourself or for your loved ones.

      It was a wonderful experience. We went for the Rameses Egypt exhibition and everything was amazing. The artifacts, information and pictures were all very nice. The museum in general, was so massive that we did not get to see everything in one day. Therefore we’ll definitely come here again.

      Very informative museum. A bit disappointed on the dinosaur exhibit as the place was too dark to even read some of the info. I had to brighten the phone settings. The place is well maintained and clean. Staff at each exhibit is present to provide more info. Staff were all smile and frienly. Cafe at the second floor, great food selections and coffee.       Nice and big, quite a lot of fun facilities. Swings, zip line, climbing nets, slides and sand pits with water. Water fountains and a clean toilet.       Nice family outing. Parking available on West Domain Ave but it may fill up quickly on weekends. It says 2P parking on weekdays but we usually go on weekends. Additional ticket parking available on Park Ave ($3/hr, $13/day on weekdays).

The trees are all along the perimeter road (West Domain Ave), so if you arrive early enough, you should be able to find shade but bring your own folding chairs and tables. There are 4 shelters but those fill up quickly early in the morning. Children playground and public toilet available.

      Timeout says this is one of the best playgrounds in Sydney. They’re wrong. The play equipment is nothing special and there isn’t enough of it to cater for the amount of kids out here. Plus, it’s all made of metal with no shade cover so in Summer the equipment is hazardously hot. Very disappointed.

      Flying in to Sydney from Melbourne on a delayed Jetstar flight we decided to dine out on our drive home rather than eat during the flight and VN Street Foods definitely featured on or short list of options. It’s about a 10 minute drive from where we parked at P3 domestic parking.

      We arrived a little before 6pm on the 27th of January 2024. There were plenty of free tables and only two small groups ordering before us.

      After about half a nanosecond of deliberation we ordered 2x highly affordable #30 Bun Cha then selected our table outside and sat down. Our meals were prepared and delivered within a couple of minutes.

      The offerings appeared quite generous and the flavours and aroma took me back in my mind to Hanoi but fortunately the seats at Vn Street Foods weren’t the low type found in Vietnam.

      The medley of grilled meat swimming in a sweet aromatic sauce/broth gave a smokey, slightly charred flavour. The generous side of herbs and greens made up of mint, coriander, perilla leaf and some leaves of butter lettuce were added to the bowl providing a freshness of flavour that complimented the charred meatiness. Throw in a portion of rice vermicelli noodles and the flavour party really starts.

      We enjoyed our meals immensely. The portion size is completely adequate and the bun Cha dish doesn’t leave you feeling heavy.

      I will definitely eat here again

      I have never met or seen an ‘overweight’ Vietnamese before. Have you??? I think this may have a great deal to do with their diet! Hence, Vietnamese cuisine ranks high up on our most favourite cuisines. Visiting Sydney over Xmas & NY, our host suggested that we take a long drive to Marrickville to try out “VN Street Food”…lots of Vietnamese out that way apparently.

      We got there around lunch time (no bookings taken), and managed to get the last big table for 5, while one person lined up outside to place the food orders. Everyone ordered the grilled lemongrass pork bun cha, except me…I said, I must have VN’s ‘beef pho’. Surely that’s the measure of how good a Vietnamese restaurant is, right? (Wrong!)

      When the food arrived, I was really regretting not following the advice to get the Bun Cha. The Beef pho was tasty and nice, but the Bun Cha (which I managed to steal some scraps off peoples’ plates) was amazing. The grilled pork was deliciously cooked (slightly charred), the sauce was very tasty, and the variety of herbs piled on the platter was very generous. Next time, I am ordering the Bun Cha, no question about it!

      Well done VN Street Food. Very healthy food at very affordable prices. I can feel my waistline unchanged, but I was still feeling full. I will be back to Marrickville, despite the distances I have to travel.

      We ordered two Grilled lemongrass pork with rice vermicelli and a lotus drink. The soup of these dishes are sweet, so people who are not used to eating pho with sweet soup may need to be careful, although this dish is recommended by many people. And the lotus drink is sweet and taste good. Moreover, there are a lot of people lining up during lunch time, so be prepared to wait in line to order.

      Feel like you are in Vietnam, Whenever I go here, always feeling happy to have food here. Never changed taste. Compare to past few years price has been gone up but it seems reasonable these days. They extended restaurant so no need to wait for the long queue. Always served big portions, feel so full easily but couldn’t stop eating Highly recommend to visit here if you really miss Vietnamese food
