4 months agoDO NOT BOOK A GROOM WITH PETSTOCK OR BESTFRIENDS – NEGLECTFUL AND UNCARING In early July 2023 I booked a full groom through the online platform for the 21st September. I received 2 x email confirmations and 2 x SMS confirmations in the days leading up to the 21st. I arrived at the store (having taken care not to book work meetings around this time as it was a workday) only to be told they don’t do grooming at that store and that the system must have made an error (the store was clearly listed on my email and sms confirmations). The assistant at the store tried to call a nearby store to see if they had a booking but had no luck. Given it appeared to be a system issue I left and called the customer helpline. The customer service representative insisted I send proof (didn’t believe me, couldn’t be bothered to look in his system for the record). I sent it through and was told someone would be in touch the next day from a nearby store with a booking. I received no call so wrote back, again was told they personally called the store manager and I would receive a call/contact that afternoon. Again no contact, so I followed up and was told to just call the store myself. Meanwhile almost a week has passed and my poor dog is no closer to having a groom she needs. Where I live it is difficult to get a groom, hence why I booked so far ahead in advance. This store and its ‘customer service’ representatives clearly don’t care about your animals welfare or well-being, very disappointing. I have had no success in trying to resolve this issue directly with them hence publishing this review as there doesn’t seem to be any other course of action – they just don’t care.a year agoVisited today with my partner and our cat and dog. The staff was so so happy to see our pets and pampered them with cuddles and treats! Staff were super attentive and Kayla and the lovey manager helped us find all the fun toys for the boys and even threw in a cheeky discount! Thanks so much ladies!7 months agoThe best staff ever! So patient, kind and helpful and a big thanks to Hyde, Kayla and Cassidy! Thank you so much Hyde for all your insight and knowledge, it saved me so much wasted time and misery with what I thought was a disaster with my Heiniger clippers. The people here have even offered to help me carry my items to my car, where do you find that these days? Love these people!

Everybody who works there is so lovely, it makes you glad when you run out of pet food. Add to that the kittens and dogs that frequent the store, and you’ve got one of the most wonderful shopping experiences you can have in Canberra. I love this place.
Was blown away by the grooming service here. Took our dog in for the first time and Mish was kind and clearly a big dog lover. Every concern I had she was happy to chat about and was super understanding and accepting of any of my dog’s strangeness that I pointed out. At pick up Mish gave me a full debrief, and my dog was happy and groomed just as I had requested! Will definitely be returning for our next groom.
Our groodle has been groomed at petstock twice and both times she has come out looking sensational. Michelle is the best and we wouldn’t go anywhere else!
The staff were really helpful, and even carried the 20kg bag of food to my car. The position of the store is the only hassle being on a busy street intersection with very limited parking. But going at off-peak times was no problem.
A nice large store with all that we need in it. Clean and tidy. Staff were attentive. Parking can be a bit difficult at times.
