4 months agoWe decided to try out this place for breakfast on a Wednesday morning a few weeks back as we had noticed it being quite busy at other times of day whenever shopping at Rouse Hill Town Centre. The order took some time to prepare so maybe they’re low on kitchen staff as we did notice they were advertising for open positions.
The portion size was reasonable on our omelette and the pancakes were tasty.
Nice seating arrangements inside but seeing how it was a pleasant sunny day, we chose to sit outside and enjoyed every moment of it.
in the last weekUsually have a great experience here, however that was not the case this time around.Popped in for lunch on 09/02/2024 and ordered a share plate. One of the items on this plate was calamari.
When the meal arrived, something smelt off. Putting it down to me just being very sensitive to smells, I didn’t say anything. I tried the calamari and immediately spat it out. My mum tried it herself thinking i was just dramatic and immediately came to the same conclusion. Something was very wrong with the calamari. I’ve never tasted something so foul.
I took the plate up to the counter and explained the issue. The staff offered to remake it, but i declined. Paid for the drinks alone and left. The manager did not approach us or anything. No apology, no questions, nothing…
This has definitely put me off returning ?
2 weeks agoComplete waste of money. There are far better brekkie places around. The avocado on toast is a joke. There was barely any avocado on the bread. The sourdough bread itself was quite bad. There was no olive oil or pepper on the bread. There was barely any feta cheese. Scrambled egg was not well done. Wouldn’t want to visit this place againa month agoWe received wrong order twice. We are vegans n were served non- vegetarian food. Finally after correcting them about our order, we got the food we had actually ordered. The food looked extremely basic for the name & price. Really disappointed with the service and the food, the two main reasons one visits a cafe on a weekend. The staff took forever to get a fork as we only got 2 forks for a table having 3 people. I finally got up to get one myself. The credit to the atmosphere goes to the weather n the location of the cafe.8 months agoI like coming here. Generally food is good but choices of drinks are a little boring. I don’t even bother to order drinks now. I had a Caesar salad with calamari and it was yum. Only thing is the lettuce had weird spores on it and I didn’t take the risk and tossed those aside. Wish they had fresher and more leaves though.Above was the old review and would like to update that their salad has improved very much. Always my fav. And staff was commendable, I left my phone in the cafe and they immediately took action to contact me. Very very pleased ?
