Hubby needed some pants. It was such a mess. Sizes mixed up, no order, clothes all over the place. He couldn’t find his size pants anywhere. There was pants in number sizes, mixed with letter sizing. Then shirts everywhere. We were absolutely disgusted by the disorganisation. Absolutely overwhelming. Please tidy up. You lost a purchase that day.

Don’t know if the staff member I spoke to today was having a bad day, but she was extremely rude and I asked her where I could find a particular item she just said “over there” didn’t day where just “over there” I thanked her and she just rolled her eyes at me… Like okay you hate your job but don’t need to be a troll.

      Great staff managing low inventory.

I’ve had encounters with many staff members who go above and beyond to help with requests. It is quite a busy store so the shelves aren’t always perfect or pristine, and sometimes, the stock is low or not reflected accurately on the website, but the people who work there work hard.

      It’s a popular Kmart.

I was having trouble looking for stuffed toys. A lovely young worker named Shannon soon came up to me and asked if I needed any help. She found exactly what I was looking for. Great service here!

Worst Kmart I’ve been too. Op shops clothing section looks better then kmarts clothing area. Op shops at least have woman’s with woman’s tops with tops oh and in size order!! Photos show male cloths and females mixed together, tops pants together, all sizes together, wrong size hanger to size of item attached. Oh EVEN DRINK IN THE POCKET OF PANTS! I asked for size of pants I found they said they will check back while they checked back i found the size myself in another section lady came back and said we don’t have that size I said you do cause here they are I found while I waited she said oh OK. Then went back to change room area! 2 of them. Put 1 full time on tiding the area to size and item order until it’s fixed. Absolutely disgusting left buying nothing I’ll go to a Op shop instead easier and cleaner. And no it was a clearance rack, all full price and video shoes sections and sections of the same mess.

I went to look online for a t shirt and on their site it said they had my size and was in stock, paid for the click and collect and got a email 1 hour later saying they had to cancel my order because they didn’t have any in stock. Do ever check on your side of the computer to make sure you do have stock, not give people the wrong information. Not a happy customer : (.

As I was walking into the store the security guard was screaming at a teenager saying ” you’re looking in the mirror motherF..er” , I was shocked that the staff can use such language. As I walked out the same security guard told me to open and show him my handbag, I said this is a handbag and my privacy, I am happy to show you the shopping bags but my handbag? Then he rudely said …just go! So I showed him my handbag and said I would make a complaint, so again be told me to “go”.

Top Hostel in Gold Coast, Australia

The Gold Coast, often referred to by its initials G.C., and officially the City of Gold Coast, is a city in Queensland, Australia. It is Australia’s sixth-largest city, the most populous non-capital city, and the state's second-largest city after Brisbane, with a population over 600,000. The Gold Coast is a coastal city and region located approximately 66 kilometres (41 mi) south-southeast of the centre of the state capital, Brisbane. The city's central business district is located roughly in the centre of the Gold Coast in the suburb of Southport. The urban area of the Gold Coast is concentrated along the coast, sprawling almost 60 kilometres, joining up with the Greater Brisbane metropolitan region to the north and to the state border with New South Wales to the south. Nicknames of the city include the ‘Glitter Strip’ and the ‘Goldy’. The demonym of a Gold Coast resident is Gold Coaster.
The area that became the Gold Coast was originally inhabited by the indigenous Yugambeh people. The city grew from a collection of small townships, the earliest being Nerang in 1865. From the 1920s onwards, tourism led to significant economic growth in the region, and by 1959 the Gold Coast was declared a city, with its first skyscraper being built in 1960. The Gold Coast boomed from the 1980s onwards with skyscraper construction. This era was defined by the city's ‘white-shoe brigade' developers, neon lights, and organised crime, particularly the yakuza and the Russian mafia. The late 20th century saw the city's tourism diversify with theme park openings, and in the early 21st century became an international destination for film production.
The Gold Coast has a diverse economy with strengths in health, tourism, arts and culture, and construction, with a GDP of $40.9 billion. The city ranks highly as one of the country's cultural and creative hotspots, alongside content creators, a growing video games industry, and leads Australia in startups per capita.
The Gold Coast is central to the nation's entertainment industry with a major film and television production industry, leading to the city's metonym of Goldywood. The Gold Coast is also host of the AACTA Awards and the Gold Coast Film Festival.
The Gold Coast is a major tourist destination with a sunny, subtropical climate and has become widely known for its surfing beaches (such as Surfers Paradise), high-rise dominated skyline, theme parks, nightlife, and rainforest hinterland.

We have been staying fortnightly for a few months. When we first booked be thought not our usual short-term rental and thought it would be a once off. After our first stay we could say it was very clean, very functional and Marina and Sally were so helpful and this is still the case months on. We have travelled a lot and often 5 star and can say we are very pleasantly surprised. The motel has recently been renovated and painted, further supporting the clean amenity and good old fashioned service from all staff members. ?

Great little place to stay. Clean and everything you need. What I would suggest though as I was on the bottom floor. Maybe a partition or some type of guard infront of the windows as it looks straight into the carpark and you have to have the blind down all the time so no one sees in. Also maybe have a timer light or sensor light in the hallway as it is quite bright and lights the room up even though the door is closed. Otherwise a great stay.

Here are some of the best historical sites in Gold Coast that visitors should explore:

From the iconic Surfers Paradise to the serene Springbrook National Park, Gold Coast is home to nine historical sites that offer a glimpse into the city’s past. These sites include ancient Aboriginal sites, colonial-era buildings, and modern landmarks, each with its own unique story to tell.

Great little trove of war memorabilia with models & set in the surroundings of Skirmish. Great place for anyone who is interested in this with a vast array of different types of weapons and memorabilia from different wars. It’s definitely worth a visit.

It’s a museum, paintball place, store, and dealership all in one. I was only interested in the museum and while it has a lot of stuff a large amount is not vintage from the period. The planes are fiberglass replicas along with some of the displays. That is normal at most museums though. Some of the displays are real original things but poorly lit up. I was the only visitor so was able to roam freely. It’s kind of hidden off the main road.

It was pretty interesting. They’ve put a great deal of effort into the smallest details in each display. We really enjoyed the diorama models, found the tiny ginger cat ?❤️.

I don’t think little kids would get to much out of the show case’s. But it’s a nice interesting walk through for a more older/adult family.

Plus you can play paint ball while you’re there if you’re old enough. The bathrooms are well kept including the ladies.

They sell a variety of goods from war metals, guns, patches, key chains, model guns ect. I don’t know if they were replica’s or real.

Entry to the museum is $10 per adult and $5 per child. honestly we spent probably 40-60 minutes in there and felt it was value appropriate.

We weren’t sure if we could go close to the tank as it was in the paintball area. But we noticed they do birthday partys and have a seating area for it.

Well worth a visit to look at the well displayed war memorabilia, including tanks, planes, helicopter and various cars and trucks. Opened in 1975 I came here the first time in 1982 and now again after 30 years in 2018. Museum has been run by the same owner from the beginning and I had the privilege of meeting him this time with my young son who really enjoyed himself looking around at the many items on display.

Despite having visited the Gold Coast on many occasions, I had never visited the Sanctuary and, despite the rather steep entry price, I was really very impressed. In fact, I think it was worth the money spent. The enclosures looked well thought out for the different animals, the notices are well worded and informative, and the different sections provided plenty of interest for all ages. I went with my daughter and her two children aged 5 and 3. If you feel so inclined you can even try the ziplines (height dependant). The area is huge, but there is a train if you get too tired (or hot!), although the kids can cool off in the water park, so bring togs! There’s also a playground.

This was the highlight of our trip. The animals were beautiful. The keepers were so helpful and shared great information. The volunteers were incredible and so helpful The birds in flight show is amazing. Remember the kids swimmers, the splash pad is very refreshing on a hot day The food was nice. Sadly not a lot of lorikeets at the wild feeding but they are wild so they can’t control that

We enjoyed the bird show, Dino trail and blinky bill, 2 more shows in the afternoon is quite a long wait after the morning shows. I wish they can put more shows. The mini train is convenient. Be sure to bring your water/drinks and snacks as it can be quite expensive ($6/bottle & & $4 for small packet of chips?), the hot food is fair price.

Was really impressed with the modern nature of the facilities and upkeep of the premises. It’s a lush hideaway with cool walking tracks thanks to the stunning vegetation. A lot of effort has gone into designing the enclosures. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Far better than some of the other zoos around SEQ.

The highlight was certainly the cultural dance show!

Wow what a superb wildlife park!! Can’t recommend it enough. Beautifully designed, educational, healthy animals and passionate staff. Get there early for the parakeet feeding (8am onwards).

I visited with my family and partners parents who visited from the Netherlands and it was great for them that as soon as you walk in there are so many koalas to see, you can pat kangaroos and emus, walk with the wallabies etc.

I’ll do a separate review for the tree-top challenge but all I’ll say here is it is SO worth the $40 ticket upgrade.

Plenty of add-on experiences too but book these in advance.

Only downsides were there is currently only one place to order food, and the train around the park stops early.

      Enjoy visiting!!

Very disappointed. Took an injured bird that had flown into our apartment. The lady at reception took it to the vet. I was filling out the paperwork when she returned and i asked how it was she said the vet had put it down. She was so rude would think twice about doing that again. I have an annual subsciption and have done the same for 2 grandchildren. Will think twice before renewing

I donate money everytime I go to the sanctuary and as a lover of animals I am very disappointed and angry. Recently called to get assistance and I was denied as it was a “council” issue when it involved the lives of animals. It was a life or death situation that also involved baby animals as well. Very disappointing and I will not be giving anymore money if they can’t be bothered to help animals which is literally what they are all about.

It’s always a great place for a day out on the weekend at the Gold Coast. I enjoy making this a day trip about every 3 months. The bonus is that about 60% of the market stalls are undercover, so great for a light rainy day. There is a wide selection of stalls from clothing to antiques, kitchen ware, plants, pots, shoes, fresh produce, meat, delis, alternative therapies, and toys, to name just a few. I always love starting early with a relaxed breakfast in one of the many cafes. It is lovely to see all the new stores. No empty spaces. Highly recommended. Enjoy yourself.

Carrara Markets is claimed to be the Australian largest outdoor marketplace. It is fun to visit and their prices are generally cheaper than the cities. Highly recommend if you are visiting Gold Coast.

Great place for household items like plants, balcony tables, toys, ornaments. The pot shop is great for beautiful plant pots. Looking a little tired now. Never changes from 1 year to the next.

My brother was visiting from Melbourne and wanted to thrash around Nerang trails for a few hours. We hired an E-MTB for him from Just Ride. They set him up and were on our way. Noticed about about 90 minutes in that my own bike needed some repairs so we went back to the shop, they had my bike up on the stand and ready to go in ten minutes. Excellent service.

What fabulous service I experienced today at Just Ride, a truly wonderful bike store. I was quite nervous about getting back on an MTB after being out of the saddle for years. However, Gavin & Rhiannon were incredibly reassuring and patient with me. They took the time to walk me through various bike options, and once we decided on the perfect one, their meticulous set up and detailed explanations were outstanding. Their remarkable attention to detail and extensive knowledge clearly demonstrate their passion for riding as well. I am truly grateful to Just Ride for helping me get back out on the trails. ?

Best bike shop I’ve ever been too! Getting back into road cycling after nearly a decade out of the sport and Jans was so patient, diligent and just an all round legend of a guy. There’s SO much stock to look at, try out, test. They do bike fittings which are awesome. Can’t imagine going anywhere else!

Great service. We hired a bike for my son and they did a great job getting it ready. Great to talk with and get advise. The did my tires and fitted new peddles. If I was local I could see myself spending Saturdays hanging at that shop.
