      Cannot speak highly enough about this pharmacy. Usually I just go to whatever pharmacy – seen one, seen them all – or so I thought. However on Thursday I was sent to this specific pharmacy by an optometrist. One of the pharmacists, Natasha, was unbelievable. A note to others: not all pharmacies or pharmacists are created equal. I am so grateful for the help Natasha provided me when i needed it

      Had a Telehealth appointment for my two sick children last week as I did not want to drag my 3 year old and 10 month old into the clinic. Call lasted two minutes where a medical certificate was needed to take carers leave. Was billed $75 dollars for this appointment and it also claimed the call provided was for six minutes. Children are supposed to be bulked billed so they get appropriate access to healthcare. Tried to discuss with receptionist who said their hands were tied as the doctor does the billing.

      Want to rush in to have your health more damaged than getting well? See this clinic and if happens to bump into Indian doctors or Dr Robyn Polock be very scared. I’ve been there and these crooks dodged experience made the rest of my life a dark living Hell. Find the right clinic if needed.       I recently had my Cat in care with the amazing team at AEC. From the moment I dropped him off to when I picked him up I felt at ease the entire time. I had updates from the team every 12 hours & they communicated everything with me. I was able to have an input into Jinx’s plan to come home & if I ever need a emergency vet in the future they will be the first point of call. Amazing service & Great Team of professionals!

      A late night dash to Varsity Lake emergency when one of our dogs had an anaphylaxis reaction to a bite from some type of insect. The staff were amazing, explained everything that was going on with him and reacted quickly to resolve what was happening. His vital signs started to improve while we waited and an overnight stay for observation resulted in a much happier boy when we picked him up next morning. Cannot thank the staff there enough for their efforts, yes the costs are on the high side but it was an emergency and you can’t put a price on saving a member of your family, well done to the staff. I highly recommend the Varsity Lake animal emergency centre

      I wanted to say a massive thank you to Dr Stephanie who helped my poor cat Celeste who swallowed one of her toys yesterday. Dr Stephanie was extremely compassionate and empathetic, and went through everything in full detail with me and my partner. I felt super confident that my cat Celeste was in the best possible hands.

      Not even 30 minutes after I had left my cat with Dr Stephanie, I receive a call saying that the procedure was complete and all seemed well! Dr Stephanie I cannot thank you enough for saving my little girl and am forever grateful for your fast action and genuine care for your patients.

      I would highly recommend the AEC team to anyone who has a pet emergency! The team are extremely knowledgeable and empathetic. Thank you especially to Dr Stephanie, you are an angel! Lots of love from Nicola and Celeste x

      This has been the worst clinic I’ve ever had the nightmare of entering. My current problem is the monthly medication I am supposed to be receiving, not only did the nurses not inform myself, they failed to inform a doctor until it had run out. This was around January, at which point the doctor refused to sign the form to allow me to order more medication. It has now been three and a half months and the medication has shown up today but I cannot get an appointment for another two weeks. The nurses are incompetent and always make my arm hurt after injection unlike the amazing nurses from chevron medical centre who I never had a problem. Absolutely appalled at the experience I have had at this clinic.

      The wait time was 55 minutes. Wish the reception could have told me the wait time could be 30minutes and longer when I checked in. No, no updates while waiting. Not a sorry from anyone, except my GP, kept apologising to me but I don’t blame her. She is a responsible GP and very patient.

      I used the computer to register which was quick and easy. Dr Longmire is thorough and very professional. I also got my flu injection and Pierre, the nurse, was very nice and performed the injection painlesssly. It was easy to organise another appointment through the receptionist. The receptionist was helpful and gave me the appropriate time for my next appointment.

      I wanted to take a moment to express my utmost gratitude for the exceptional medical care we received at the urgent care center in Indooroopilly. Our visit started with a suspected fractured foot, and after a rather frustrating hour of searching for parking and waiting in a long triage line at the children’s hospital, I decided to do a quick search on my phone. That’s when I stumbled upon the urgent care center’s website and decided to give them a call.

      From the first moment I spoke with the receptionist, I could tell we were in good hands. He was incredibly kind and assured us that we could come straight in. We wasted no time and drove to the center. Within just five minutes, we were greeted by nurse Rito, who instantly put my daughter at ease with his warm demeanour and sense of humour.

      Nurse Rito wasted no time and promptly arranged for X-rays next door, even providing a wheelchair to make the process easier for my daughter. As soon as we returned, Rito ushered us back in and, within minutes, the doctor arrived to deliver the news that her foot was indeed broken. The doctor skillfully applied a plaster cast, and we were referred to an orthopaedic specialist.

      I cannot stress enough how impressed I was with the level of care we received. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our experience as smooth and comfortable as possible. The atmosphere was filled with kindness and compassion, and it was truly a refreshing change. I had anticipated a hefty bill, but to my surprise, we walked away with crutches, a plaster cast, X-rays, and the most outstanding care for under $200 before the Medicare rebate.

      I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I felt compelled to express my gratitude in this case. The doctors and nurses at the urgent care center in Indooroopilly should be immensely proud of the exceptional care they provide. Nurse Rito, in particular, was an absolute highlight of our visit. His ability to connect with my daughter and make her laugh during a challenging time was truly remarkable.

      Thank you once again to the entire staff for their professionalism, compassion, and outstanding service.

      I needed to see a doctor quickly and couldn’t get into my regular GP clinic for at least a week, so went to Urgent Care at Indooroopilly. I was able to walk in without an appointment and only had to wait about 10mins. All of the staff were friendly and professional, I was very happy overall. One of the nurses Jenna even called me back the next day to check on me; amazing service. It was a bit more expensive that my regular GP, but definitely worth it for the convenience.

      I was very pleasantly surprised at how good and how professional the care I received here was. Being Sunday, a new patient and after hours I was expecting a long wait and rudimentary care. Instead the care was first rate, excellent triage nurses and doctors and a CT scan within the hour. Very very impressed and grateful to everyone involved. Very very good.

      I was really satisfied with my experience. The clinic was really clean, the staff were super friendly and I feel like I got the care I needed for my condition. I really think this is a great alternative from emergency. And the wait time is appropriate.

      Just on a side note for mothers with small children and babies: The clinics reception/waiting area is on the smaller side & got really busy quickly; and there isn’t much seating. The waiting area doesn’t have a lot of standing room; which doesn’t give you much room for parking your pram (so avoid bringing it in, if you can).

      I spoke to the doctor there about a Yellow Fever and Typhoid vaccination for travel. The doctor mentioned Hep A, but I declined and he agreed. He wrote as such in his notes. Then, when he talked to the Nurse who was administrating the vaccines, somewhere the nurse was told that I needed the Hep A and Typhoid, despite me specifically not wanting it, and having a requirement for Yellow Fever to enter the regions I am travelling to.

      I found this out when realising I hadn’t received the documentation required, I called them, and all of this information was relayed to me. I’m out of pocket $80 for a vaccination I did not require, and will need to pay a further $100+ for the one I had specifically requested and thought I had already paid for.

      All because of the incompetence of the staff here.

      This Pharmacy Team are super efficient, helpful, friendly and compassionate. Each staff member treats EVERY customer as if they are the only person in the shop and that’s even when there’s a queue. On many occasions I have witnessed them being kind and willing to go the extra mile for people who are concerned or worried about something. They don’t rush our Senior Citizens but go out of their way to make them feel welcome and significant. If you need advice on a medication they will assist without being condescending. There are many other pharmacies in HB that we will never go back to again simply because we have witnessed them being rude and impatient with people who are clearly unwell, they give the impression that don’t care about who they are serving.       I am happy to drive out of my way to bypass several other pharmacies to visit this friendly and efficient pharmacy. The staff are always helpful and the service second to none. The lovely staff behind the counter are sympathetic to their customers and the pharmacists Greg and Jerry knowledgeable and helpful. The assistant couldn’t see the box outside and said she’d check security cameras. She then insisted I come back and collect a new box free of charge.       Naomi and Caitlyn are both absolute gems! Their kindness and compassion while dealing with my issue today was like none other. These 2 girlies just turned my worst terrible day, back to a normal happy day!

      I first dealt with Naomi who gave me advice on how to get my script changed so I wasn’t paying money I didn’t have to pay. After speaking with the original doctors office and receiving little to no help, I returned to the pharmacy to ask for their advice. Upon my return, Caitlyn both worked together to solve the problem at hand (doctors office not resending prescription promptly). I can’t thank these 2 enough for helping me the way they did today, they totally went above and beyond to get me the help I needed and I can’t thank them enough! They deserve the world and so much more!

      Absolutely disgusting!! All I wanted was some over the counter sleeping tablets as l didn’t want heavy meds to help me sleep , I said “just the cheapest “ as money is a reason I’m not sleeping the moment .pharmacist then went on to lecture me about how I should buy melatonin over the counter .. but unfortunately I’m 6 years too young!!! Then I asked for the cheapest pack which was $10 which I have paid before for 20 tabs and only when I got home I had realised I had been ripped off by $10 there was only 10 tablets in the packet so basically I I was shamed for not being able to sleep age shamed and then ripped off ,,, well I hope you sleep tonight Greg !!!

      The staff at this chemist are getting so rude and abrupt!

      I have been getting my and my mothers medication for years at this chemist….

      I understand you maybe getting abused by the undesirable, no excuse to treat your long time customers rudely!

      Eliza who severed my mother today was extremely rude while other staff stood there and listened to her tone and her rudeness. For absolutely no reason

      kindness doesn’t cost anything and soon you will have no customers left.

      I see in the reviews for the last couple of reviews also express my dissatisfaction in service.

      Either you all need to reconsider your customer service policies and procedures or get a new job

      They are very busy and still get the job done. I’ve been there multiple times and this pharmacy is always packed. Well done to the team, they have to deal with a lot of rude people like many here doing bad reviews, imagine this in real life.

      They operation is not like the dream dispensary everyone is hoping to have yet, but they sure are the only ones trying to do something for the medical cannabis industry in our region.

      We should all be grateful to have a pharmacy in GC distributing the goods to the people.

      Came here for the first time to fill a script on Friday 21/4 and was told that they would need to make my script and I’d have to come back another day to pick it up, which was fine. The young woman serving me took my number and said that I’d most likely get a call tomorrow, but “PLEASE don’t clog up our phones before Monday”. I thought this was unprofessional and she could’ve just said to call if I hadn’t heard back on Monday, but I was polite and left. When Monday came and I hadn’t heard back I called and had no one answer so I left a message. I waited several more days before calling again, and once again no response. It has been almost 3 weeks with several unanswered calls, messages left and I’ve heard nothing back. Extremely frustrating to wait for a medication when in this time I could’ve already gotten it from elsewhere.

      Not useless just no idea, I had scripts deemed “illegal” because of some TGA regulations that have now changed, I was told I would need all new scripts, I had my doctor on the phone for over an hour, you pharmacist contradicted himself, he said he was on holiday for 2 weeks, then as I said how come you’ve dispensed me before then? They then said that, 2 days ago it was changed when they had a meeting, okay So was this a meeting amongst you or the TGA? Cause you was on holiday?

      Either way I don’t understand why my scripts are accepted one day but the next they are not, I asked for my scripts back, due to this being the issue if that’s the case, went to a pharmacy around the corner (same area) And I was served no issues, no “illegal” script issues

      Not just that, the girl on the phone first, Sharon Shelly or something with an S, doesn’t give people time to explain themselves They just determine they know it all, yet she had to pass me to the “head” pharmacist, Long story short stay away from this pharmacy , it’s the only Amcal I’ve ever had issues at, only pharmacy I’ve had issues with

      Don’t use their deliver service, it’s a complete joke! Been waiting to pay for my order so it can be shipped since Monday 5th June and noone can tell me when I’ll be able to pay for my medication nor when it will be shipped. Fast forward to Thursday 8th and the pharmacist calls to ask what’s going on with my order as it’s still sitting in the shelf. Finally they take payment.. Barvo guys you’ve left me without medication for 4 days and your own staff don’t even know why.

      I suffer from a major depression/anxiety disorder as I was on holiday there and the beautiful Australian/Asian heritage pharmacist rushed my medication to me asap as I was crying, gave me water and even gave me a hug while talking me through it. Iv never experienced such genuine care and compassion from any stranger or even medical professional. Its so rare in life to meet humans like that. I’ll always appreciate his genuine care.

      I’d give no stars if that was an option. Came in for a script tonight and waited almost half an hour (store was empty). No one called my name out for the script, eventually I went to ask the staff busy gossiping at the front for it, the young guy looked inconvenienced that he had to turn around and pick it up. I asked him how long it had been ready for and his reply was “a while” and laughed. In empathetic people should not work at in a chemist of all places

      My Aunty generally likes this chemist and its staff but she had such a horrible experience that she won’t likely come back ever again. She came in on a Saturday, before meeting me at 12pm for lunch to get her blood pressure tablets and there were 2 female pharmacists working. The taller blonde lady was busy and the darker haired pharmacist came from the back to take my Aunty’s script. Never before has she ever been questioned on getting her medication a few days early from a script. She was spoken to in such an abrupt manner that made her feel like she was doing something terrible when she just needed to get her blood pressure tablets. She has not had any issue in the past from this place before or anywhere and this medicine is not even abusable( I checked her bottle at home and the medicine she has is called prexum). She only had 5 tablets left in her old bottle so how is that too early? My Aunty decided to leave without getting it and when she met me for lunch I could see she was very upset and she said she was spoken down upon in a rude loud manner like she was stupid. I decided to go with her to another chemist instead and they gave her the tablets without causing a fuss. This is completely unacceptable behaviour from a health professional. Pharmacists are meant to communicate to people with more of a calmer demeanour and not make the consumer feel humiliated. Won’t be coming here again as there are plenty of other chemists in Surfers.

      Started to get a runny nose and a tickle in the throat so bought cough mixture to nip it straight away. Got arrogantly and condesendantly told if I want to nip it go see a doctor. If I hadn’t paid for it I would have given it back and said, “I’ll do just that”. Next time this local will go Chempro where I get much better service.

They ALWAYS over charge me, I have told them the price I usually pay ages ago and they took my script back and changed the price, but it was still $4 more than my usual chemists.       My 19 yo daughter came in with a contraceptive prescription. She was diligently asked if she wanted the generic for that and then she was served and charged for the brand one, Yasmin without even tell her that the generic was out of stock and that the one she got was the most expensive one. I called 2 days after and asked if the generic for it was available and it was! I explained what happened and they dismissed me saying you can come anytime and change it if you haven’t used it yet. Of course I can! I would have like to hear apologise for a behaviour that seems driven just by profit not surely for the best interest of the patient!

      Worst service ever.

      So train your staff to speak to customers with empathy. I went in to buy restavit. I was questioned as if I was going to commit suicide. I just had trouble sleeping from stress. Those tablets are glorified antihistamines. You couldn’t OD on them anyway. Any person working at a chemist should be serving people with empathy.

      Travelled here to get my sick child’s script filled on a Thursday night at 11:40 after being turned away from the so called John Flynn 24 hour pharmacy as they were closing. A wonderful staff member at Chempro palm beach was polite and very helpful. Script filled within 3 minutes. Cannot recommended this chemist enough. Very grateful for this 5 star business

      This complex that this store is in is a bit tired but the Chemist Warehouse here is good. I have found on a many occasions that products I’ve searched for online will say they are not available but when you get there it’s on the shelf. There seems to be issues with the store internal stock system and online stock. This Chemist Warehouse has a great range of health and natural products. Service is good.

      Pushy, staff who like to rush you and then scrunch your bag up when ur leaving to ensure you know that you buggered their day up by taking 30 seconds to process eftpos. Shame on you Larissa. This behaviour does not belong in customer facing jobs.

      Yes it has all that you expect from a chemist. But firstly they had atleast 4 chemist sorting scripts and it still took over 20 minutes. And the most shocking was i asked one of the white robe chemists if they had a generic and i named it. extremely common medicine for pain. This person had no clue, and then when he showed another worker. They reached around and grabbed the generic and $15 cheaper version with ease and handed it to him. So double and triple check as it may be a ploy for you to buy more expensive brands.

      Rude staff that are short with people over the phone. They argue that because they are a large chemist it is too hard to notify the customer that the script on a waiting list for over 6 months THAT THEY ARE HOLDING is about to expire. I am considering taking legal action against this chemist.

      They argue the moral high ground when dispensing the medication however at the same time hold onto your script to make sure your not able to source your medication from another chemist while waiting. Something that another chemist mentioned was unethical in itself.

      Been here multiple times, always great customer service, plenty of reasonably priced goods and discounts a plenty. Caters for all the family, knowledgeable staff on hand, points you in the right direction or offers up viable alternatives. Large stock, easy to move around aisles and easy access to check-outs, friendly greeting and have a nice day when exiting. Thank you for a wonderful experience people.

      These guys are excellent. Open until 9pm literally every single day. Aside from the availability of being open 365 days… the staff are lovely, helpful and intelligent. They go out of their way to ensure their customers receive the best care possible.

      I’ve been equally impressed by their attention to detail and by staff members’ ability (and willingness) to think “outside the box”. An easy five stars. ??

      This pharmacy has great opening hours!! Location is fantastic too, with parking out the front, side or back. Very helpful staff. I was served by Kealy who was very lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are good for around the area too.

      The ladies and gentlemen down at Day and Night Chemist are the best around. I seriously don’t know what I would do with out them.
